A hermetic rotary compressor, wherein a motor part (3) and first and second compression mechanism parts (2A, 2B) connected to each other through a rotating shaft (4) are stored in a closed case (1). The second compression mechanism (2B) pressingly energizes a blade (15b) by a pressure difference between a pressure in the closed case and a pressure in a cylinder chamber (14b) acting on the tip part of the blade so that the operation of the compressor can be switched between a normal operation performing compressing operation by leading a low- pressure refrigerant into the cylinder chamber (14b) through a suction hole (d) and a non-compressing operation not performing the compressing operation by leading a high-pressure refrigerant into the cylinder chamber (14b) to separate the blade (15b) from an eccentric roller (13b). A high-pressure lead-in passage (P) having one end with a directly opening open part (e) and the other end communicating with the inside of the closed case (1) is formed in the cylinder chamber (14b), and a solenoid opening/closing valve (28) is installed midway in the high-pressure lead-in passage (P).
