A propeller shaft assembly for a vehicle is provided to highly simplify the structure and processing works, by constituting a propeller shaft with a plurality of tubes, and effectively prevent weight of the propeller shaft from being focused on a center bearing. A propeller shaft assembly for a vehicle comprises a propeller shaft(2), a joint(10), and a center bearing(20). The propeller shaft is constituted by a plurality of tubes(4) so that at least one tube among neighboring tubes has an end(4a) reduced to be smaller than the other part of the tube. The joint is disposed among the tubes to connect the respective neighboring tubes. The center bearing is fit with an outside of the reduced end of the tube and fixed to a vehicle body. The reduced end of the tube is processed by swaging. The joint is connected to the reduced end of the tube by frictional welding. The joint is spline-connected with a spline shaft frictionally welded into the reduced end.
