A mobile communication terminal and a method for controlling power supplied to an RFID are provided to efficiently supply power within a section which needs the operation of the RFID by using the mobile communication terminal, thereby improving the operational environment of the mobile communication terminal. A mobile communication terminal comprises the followings: an RFID(Radio Frequency Identification System)(140) which has an intrinsic ID number and reads the intrinsic ID number when entering within the effective range of a specific frequency; a wireless receiving unit(110) which receives wireless frequency signals including the location information of an RFID reader transmitted from a base station; a control unit(120) which outputs a control signal to supply power to the RFID(140) if there is the location information of the RFID reader in the received wireless frequency signal; and a power supply unit(130) which supplies power to the RFID(140) according to the control signal. |
