A light emitting diode having a plurality of light emitting cells and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce electrical resistance and heat sink, and to prevent breakage of cells by expanding contact area using a concavo-concave. A light emitting diode includes a substrate(100) as a base, a plurality of light emitting cells(200), a conductive layer(320) formed on a P-type semiconductor layer, and a N-type delta doping layer(310) formed between the P-type semiconductor layer and the conductive layer. The light emitting cells are provided with an N-type semiconductor layer(220) exposed at a lower of a light emitting layer and the P-type semiconductor layer(260) having a convexo-concave(262) at the upper of the light emitting layer.
