Non-asphaltenic reconstituted petroleum has a naphtha content of at least 30 wt.%, a gasoline potential (0.9 times naphtha content + 0.5 times vacuum gas oil content) of 50-70 and a ratio (R) of gasoline potential to (middle distillate content + 0.1 times vacuum gas oil content) of at least 1.7.
