<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflecting device which enables a crossing vehicle and an oncoming vehicle to be identified by a vehicle emitting laser light, an electromagnetic wave and the like to the reflecting device, and a transportation system using the reflecting device. <P>SOLUTION: This reflecting device installed on a road comprises a first reflecting means which is constituted to reflect the light or the electromagnetic wave to the vehicle emitting the light or the electromagnetic wave, and a second reflecting means which is constituted to reflect the light or the electromagnetic wave in a direction different from the direction of the vehicle emitting the light or the electromagnetic wave. When a reflected wave from the second reflecting means is detected in the detection of a reflected wave from the first reflecting means, the vehicle recognizes that the reflected wave from the second reflecting means is reflected from an object existing in the different direction. When the reflected wave from the second reflecting means is detected in the nondetection of the reflected wave from the first reflecting means, the vehicle recognizes that the reflected wave from the second reflecting means is reflected from an object existing ahead of the vehicle itself. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
