<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making the processing of a sheathed cable at both ends or in an intermediate portion easy. <P>SOLUTION: In a sheathed cable 11, a sheath 5 is slidably mounted on a core 2 having relatively small adhesion strength between them. And, if terminals 6 are mounted at both ends of a sheathed cable 11, for example, at the first cutting away a part of one end from the sheath 5, and then by sliding the remained part of the sheath 5 on the core 2, both terminals 6 are enabled to mount at both ends. Compared with a conventional sheathed cable that has strong adhesion strength between the sheath and core, required lengths for processing are made shorter, thus the exposed regions of the core 2 where are covered with the protection material 7 are also made smaller. This reduces the working man-hours, the amount used of the protection material 7 and the cost, and further, eliminates the need to slit and tear the sheath along longitudinal direction, thereby not giving damage to the core and improving its reliability. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
