<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method and an image processing apparatus which can repeatedly form and erase high-contrast images at a high speed with respect to a heat-reversible recording medium and suppress a deterioration in the heat-reversible recording medium due to the repetition. <P>SOLUTION: With respect to the heat-reversible recording medium on which the degree of transparency or the color tone is reversibly changed depending on the temperature, the image processing method of this invention includes at least any one of an image formation step of forming an image on the heat-reversible recording medium by irradiating it with laser light and heating it and an image erasure step of heating the heat-reversible recording medium by irradiating it with laser light, thereby erasing the image formed on the heat-reversible recording medium. In the light intensity distribution of the laser light emitted in at least any of the image formation step and the image erasure step in a cross section in a direction which is approximately orthogonal to the travelling direction of the laser light, the light irradiation intensity at a center part is equal to or less than the light irradiation intensity at peripheral parts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
