PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a woven fabric having soft and flexible touch feeling. SOLUTION: This method for producing the woven fabric of which weft yarn consists of a polymethylene terephthalate-based fiber multifilament yarn is provided by performing pick insertions through totally free flying travel by using a water jet loom. It is preferable to perform the pick insertions by setting an ejection-starting angle within 70-85°range and a proceeding angle within 15-30°range. Also, the multifilament yarn is preferably a latent crimp expressible polyester-based fiber of which at least one component is the polytrimethylene terephthalate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
