摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling method with which the temperature difference in a plate thickness direction of a steel plate can be made to little while securing the cooling speed at the middle part of the high temperature steel plate and the uniform steel shape and quality can be obtained. SOLUTION: When the high temperature steel plate is cooled, the necessary cooling zone for cooling the steel plate with a continuous cooling pattern and the water quantity density in each cooling zone, are set and also, the control temperature range of the steel plate for controlling the cooling speeds at the middle part and the surface layer part, and the lower limit value of the cooling speed at the middle part and the upper limit value of the cooling speed at the surface layer part in this control temperature range, are set. Based on the cooling records from this cooling zone to the former cooling zone, the cooling speeds at the middle part and the surface layer part from the next cooling zone to this cooling zone as the cooling temperature range in the case of cooling with the water quantity density set in the continuous cooling pattern, are calculated, and based on this result, the water quantity density is set to cool the steel plate.
