PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device capable of positioning a recording material with excellent accuracy even when one recording material of a relatively large size is mounted on a recording drum, or even when one recording material of a relatively small size is mounted on the recording drum. SOLUTION: The image recording device comprises a pair of fixed positioning pins 102, a moving mechanism 100 for moving a pair of movable positioning pins 101 between the positioning position at which the movable positioning pins are aligned in the axial direction of a recording drum 21 with respect to the pair of fixed positioning pins 102 and the retracting position, and a pressing member for arranging the movable positioning pins 101 at the positioning position during the period between the time before the pair of recording materials of the relatively small size are clamped and the time before the recording materials are clamped and fixed.
