PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means, in which the number of connecting portions of the cable is reduced in laying of the cable without excessive burden on a cable. SOLUTION: In the method of winding the cable 2 around a cable drum 1 which has a cylindrical drum part 5 and disc-like collar parts 6 disposed to both end points of the body part. The problem is solved by the cable winding method, in which an intermediate part 7 of the whole length of the cable 2 is a winding start point, both end parts 2a, 2b of the cable 2 are winding end points, the body part 5 is divided at the center part in an axial direction into two sections as winding areas, and the cable 2 is wound in each of the two divided winding areas from the winding start point toward the winding end points of end parts 7a, 7b.
