PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspender for a free gradient side groove which is simple and lightweight in structure, easily mounted on the free gradient side groove, and capable of suspending the free gradient side groove without being inclined in either the right-to-left direction or the longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: The suspender has a supporting bar 3 longer than the dimension X1 in the right-to-left direction of an opening part 2 of a free gradient side groove 1, right and left suspension parts 4, 4 protruded upwardly from the supporting bar, and expansion parts 5, 5 expanded in the longitudinal direction from the supporting bar and provided on right and left ends of the supporting bar. The right and left suspension parts have a wire locking part 6, and the spacing between side edges on the tip side of the supporting bar of the right and left suspension parts is set to be substantially the same as the dimension in the right-to-left direction of the opening part of the free gradient side groove. The length of the expansion parts is set to be substantially the same as or slightly shorter than the spacing Y1 between inner walls 8a, 8b of front and rear side wall parts 8, 8 of the free gradient side wall, and the expansion length from the supporting bar on the front side is set to be that on the rear side.
