<p>The segment has a radial inner lying section (15) facing rotating blade (10) of a gas turbine. A radial outer lying section (16) faces a fixed housing (11) of the gas turbine. The segment is manufactured by power metallurgy injection molding, where a material composition of the segment is adjusted during powder metallurgy injection molding. The material composition of the segment is adjusted by addition of ceramic additive e.g. ceramic particle and/or ceramic short fibers. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a jacket ring segment of a gas turbine.</p>
