A 3-way call method using a local Bluetooth terminal and an apparatus thereof are provided to reduce the load of a core network and the communication charge by allowing the vocoder of a Bluetooth terminal to execute call mixing and to transmit the mixed signal to another subscriber. A mobile terminal that executes a 3-way call with a local Bluetooth terminal in the middle of telephone conversation consists of a radio part(260), a Bluetooth module(270), a control part(200), and a vocoder part(250). The radio part(260) connects a mobile traffic channel with a correspondent terminal through a core network, and amplifies and filters the signals transmitted and received to and from the correspondent terminal. The Bluetooth module(270) searches for a local Bluetooth terminal and executes radio communication through a Bluetooth traffic channel. The control part(200) detects the Bluetooth terminal using the Bluetooth module(270), and controls the mobile traffic channel and the Bluetooth traffic channel. The vocoder part(250) executes call mixing for a voice signal received through the Bluetooth module(270) from the Bluetooth terminal and a voice signal received from the microphone of the mobile terminal and delivers the mixed signal to the correspondent terminal through the radio part(260). Also the vocoder part(250) transfers a voice signal received from the correspondent terminal to the Bluetooth terminal through the Bluetooth module(270).
