An automatic output setup method and a relay system for performing the method are provided to automatically set output of repeaters according to an output expectation value, thus operation is conveniently conducted while the time required for setting output to a desired value is reduced. An operator sets the first output expectation value in a hub(S300). A gain of the hub is changed according to the first output expectation value(S302). The hub outputs an output signal by amplifying the first frequency signal with the changed gain, and detects an output value(S304). It is decided whether the detected output value is within an output expectation range(S306). If so, it is decided whether a finally outputted output value is within the output expectation range(S310).
