<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the electric power consumed by a print control part provided at a print server and by a receiving part provided in a printer. <P>SOLUTION: In this print system 10, during a sleep mode, a power supply control part 50 provided at the print server 14 turns off the supply of electric power from a power supply 54 to the print control part 18 and a power supply control board 42 provided in the printer 16 turns off the supply of electric power from a main power supply part 38 to a controller part 20. If a power recovery command is outputted from the power supply control part 50 or a power supply control panel 46 during the sleep mode, the power supply control part 50 turns on the supply of electric power from the power supply 54 to the print control part 18 and the power supply control board 42 turns on the supply of electric power from the main supply part 38 to each part of the printer 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
