<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform input of prescription data by integrating data input methods. <P>SOLUTION: The prescription acceptance device 10 comprises a facsimile receiving part 40 as a means for inputting an image of prescription, and stores prescription format data containing prescription column division information contributing to division processing of the image in association with each medical institution. In character recognition processing, detection processing of designated characters is performed to a partial area of the image based on template information (S13), and vertical inversion processing is performed also based on the detection result in addition to position correction processing (S14).
