SIMILAR TIME SERIES DATA CALCULATION METHOD, DEVICE, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent oversight/over-search in similarity determination on time series data and to comply with time series data for an optional length query.

SOLUTION: In this similar time series data calculation method, a distance calculation part 4 determines similarity when a distance lower limit value is a threshold value or less for preventing oversight in search and determines similarity when a distance upper limit value is the threshold value or more for preventing over-search. When the time series data is divided into a plurality of segments varied in length exponentially by a segment management part 32 in a dimension compression part 3 and a mean value and a standard deviation in each segment are found by a dimension compression coefficient calculation part 33, compliance with the time series data for an optional query can be obtained.
