<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication technology wherein a delay is made constant in order to support data communication using a telephone line and wherein real time performance is a requirement. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission apparatus disclosed herein used for fixed bandwidth communication wherein the transmission band is warranted and variable bandwidth communication wherein a transmission amount is not constant includes: a storage section for storing information denoting a data amount which a terminal is going to transmit; an arithmetic section for calculating a bandwidth assigning amount assigned to the terminal on the basis of the data amount; and a transmission section for transmitting the calculated bandwidth assignment amount to the terminal, and the arithmetic section of the transmission apparatus calculates the bandwidth assignment amount according to the priority set to each of a plurality of kinds of flows whose transmission requirement qualities differ from each other and controls a bandwidth of, in particular, fixed bandwidth communication data not by instructing a required bandwidth amount but by instructing a transmission start timing and an transmission end timing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
