<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hierarchical image encoding apparatus capable of generating image encoding data having lower space resolution from high-resolution image encoding data by small operation quantity and high encoding efficiency in a transcoder on the succeeding stage in the case of generating high-resolution image encoding data. <P>SOLUTION: The hierarchical image encoding apparatus is provided with a low-resolution encoding parameter generation part 110 for inputting an input image and the resolution information of a low-resolution image and generating an encoding parameter for encoding the low-resolution image in an optimum state, a parameter conversion part 120 for generating encoding auxiliary information which is scale-converted in order to apply a part of the encoding parameter to a high-resolution image, a high-resolution encoding part 130 for outputting high-resolution image encoding data, and an encoding parameter padding information encoding part 140 for generating and outputting encoding parameter padding information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
