<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for communication support capable of realizing reliable private network communications. <P>SOLUTION: A communication support apparatus disclosed herein builds up a virtual network VN#1 whereby a terminal 50 at a communication destination is viewed as if the terminal 50 were existing in a network adjacent to a private network PN#1 to which a terminal 40 of a communication source belongs. The terminal 40 at the communication source starts communication toward a virtual terminal 40V with a virtual address corresponding to the terminal 50 of the communication destination. Routers 20, 30 convert the communication addressed to the virtual terminal 40V into an inter-private-network communication to the terminal 50 via a global network GN on the basis of addresses managed by a management server 10.
