PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of sealing a battery hardly forming burrs outside a battery when sealing an opening of a frame body by an enveloping film, and to provide the frame body capable of realizing such a sealing method. SOLUTION: The sealing method comprises a process of positioning the enveloping film 12 against the frame body 14 so as to cover the opening 22 of the frame body 14 by the enveloping film 12, and a process of adhering the enveloping film 12 to an adhering face 16 formed on peripheral edge of the opening 22 of the frame body 14. On this sealing method, before sealing, a convex part 20 and a recessed part 18 in proximity to each other are formed at least on a part of the adhering face 16 of the frame body 14, and cubic volume of the recessed part 18 is larger than the volume of protrusion of the convex part 20.
