PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle information terminal which provides various information to the user, by displaying the information on a screen and which is capable of varying the duration of display time taking into consideration the user's confirmation time. SOLUTION: The on-vehicle information terminal displays (step S50) an interrupt image, on the basis of received VICS information, and after prescribed display time elapses (step S60), deletes (step S70) the interrupt image. At this time, according to the number of characters in the interrupt image or to the presence/absence of traffic congestion information (step S30, S31), the on-vehicle information terminal sets either a long display duration or a short display duration (step S40, S41).
