PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric layer forming composition capable of obtaining an uniform dielectric layer of high quality even in a case of sintering it in uneven condition of generating temperature difference at baking temperature when forming the dielectric layer by sintering it, and to provide a green sheet, a substrate for dielectric layer formation, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The dielectric layer forming composition contains a thermolytic binder, glass component, and dispersant. The thermolytic binder is a co-polymer having repetitive unit originated in methyl methacrylate by 1 to 50 wt.%, and content of the thermolytic binder is 12 to 50 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the glass component. The green sheet obtained by forming the dielectric layer forming composition in film-shape, the substrate for dielectric layer formation having a dielectric layer formed by using the green sheet on the substrate, and the manufacturing method of the substrate for dielectric layer formation are provided.
