PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push-locking mechanism with a simple structure, by which a mobile unit can be held to a case without a rattling at its protruded position. SOLUTION: The push-lock mechanism consists of a nearly cuboid-shaped case 1, a mobile unit 2 which can be changed over between a protruded position protruded from the case 1 and a housed position retreated from the protruded position, a biasing member 3 biasing the mobile unit 2 in a protruded direction, and a swiveling groove 4 as well as a tracing pin 5, in which, the mobile unit 2 is locked against the biasing force at the housed position through the swiveling groove 4 and the pin 5, and can be changed over to the protruded position releasing the locking when it is pressed again. What is devised, is that each case 1 is fitted at two adjacent side faces 10a, 10b out of all side faces, and is equipped with a guide groove 15 forming a looseness-absorbing groove part 14 at its front end side, the mobile unit 1 is provided with protrusions 25 fitted in protrusion at two places coming in sliding contact with each looseness-absorbing groove 14 at a final stage of change-over from the housing position to the protruded position, and absorbing the looseness by converging the whole mobile units toward the case side between the both guide grooves 15.
