PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict an increase in power consumption while ensuring both highly glossy printing and low glossy printing. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 includes a fixing section 4 for regular paper and a dedicated fixing section 5 for coated paper. When a toner image forming section 2 forms a toner image on the coated paper, a paper conveying section 3 is switched to the position (lower position) indicated by a solid line. When the toner image forming section 2 forms a toner image on the regular paper, the paper conveying section 3 is switched to the position (higher position) indicated by a two-dot chain line. Since the dedicated fixing section 5 is disposed in the lower position, the dedicated fixing section 5 is made less likely to be affected by heat from the fixing section 4.
