PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor integrated circuit which separates and connects output buffer and pads for output in arbitrary operation timing while maintaining a normal mode. SOLUTION: The pad itself for output to be cut is simultaneously used as control terminal of separation or connection. By giving negative pulse potential lower than the negative potential of a power line to the pad for output, the output pad is controlled for separation or connection. The control circuit used in the control makes control for not varying separation or connection state when the potential of the pad for output is the potential between the positive power line and the negative power line.
