PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily forming metal nanoparticles in a medium without damaging the medium. SOLUTION: In the method for forming metal nanoparticle in a medium, a medium comprising a precursor of reducing radical active seed and a metal ion or a metal complex is irradiated with two kinds of exciting light.
