PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a firing angle difference is fixed and a large power harmonic current is generated in a high voltage or in an opening side where a large current flows, in a vacuum cleaner varying the firing angle for reducing the power harmonic current. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner is provided with: an electric blower 1 generating a suction air; an input setting means 3 setting an operating position of this vacuum cleaner; a voltage detecting means 4 detecting a power voltage to be applied to this vacuum cleaner; and a control means 2 receiving the outputs of the input setting means 3 and the voltage detecting means 4 and outputting a firing angle different for every prescribed frequency to the electric blower 1. The vacuum cleaner reduces the power harmonic current by varying the firing angle difference according to a difference from the prescribed value and reducing harmonic components.
