PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which can easily move an object when the object is on a cleaning surface and can remove dust on a surface under the object. SOLUTION: A floor suction device 10 has a retaining device 15 automatically or manually operated and retaining the object 17 on the cleaning surface 16. The retaining device 15 provided in the floor suction device 10 can thus retain the object 17 on the cleaning surface 16, easily move the object from the cleaning surface 16 and easily remove the dust on the surface under the object 17.
