A printing press processes a stack of paper sheets by cutting a feed-web into individual sheets in a sheet-fed rotary press. The cutting action is effected by one or more laser beams subjected to dynamic focusing action directed at the moving web. Further claimed are a cleaning assembly and associated cleaning process.
