<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food processor capable of adding various kinds of flavors to afford a food with rich flavor without giving a considerable damage to the texture originally possessed by the food material to be processed; and to provide a processing method. <P>SOLUTION: The food processor is constituted as follows. An electrode plate 21 and a shelf 22 for carrying the food to be processed are arranged in a processing chamber 20 in the interior of a housing 1. A smoke generator 80 for generating smoke containing the flavor components, and a cooler 50 for cooling the smoke from the smoke generator arranged so as to communicate with the smoke generator 80 are arranged at the vicinity of the processing chamber 20. A direct-current or alternating-current low voltage is applied between the shelf 22 as one electrode and the electrode plate 21 to attach the ionized smoke to the food material.
