PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television in which entering of a password can be made with the minimum required keys. SOLUTION: A password can be input using up/down keys 32, 421 and 241 for volume control and input-switching keys 33, 422 and 242 of a password input screen to be displayed on a display 27B, when viewing of a program is restricted.
