PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect an IDE connector and a USB connector in a portable HDD device. SOLUTION: A portable HDD device 10 is equipped with an IDE connector 12 and a USB connector 14. The IDE connector 12 and the USB connector 14 are formed in a slot insertion face of a data recorder which is an upper device. When connecting to the data recorder, the portable HDD device 10 is inserted in a slot and the IDE connector 12 is connected electrically.
