<p>There is provided a liquid crystal display device capable of suppressing color irregularities even when a single color LED is used as a backlight light source and reducing the device thickness and the casing trim width. The liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel (1), a light-guide plate (2) arranged at the back of the liquid crystal panel (1), and a light source arranged at one side of the light-guide plate (2). Light from the light source illuminates the liquid crystal panel (1) through the light-guide plate (2). The light source includes red LED (3R), green LED (3G), and blue LED (3B) respectively emitting red light, green light, and blue light arranged in three rows in the thickness direction of the light-guide plate (2) along one side of the light-guide plate (2). The adjacent LED (3R, 3G, 3B) in the thickness direction of the light-guide plate (2) emit different colors.</p> |
