<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a corneal resistance factor CRF somewhat analogous to modulus of elasticity for the cornea by measuring corneal resistance to deformation. <P>SOLUTION: In the method and apparatus for measuring the corneal resistance to the deformation, an empirically derived function are used to separately weight an inward applanation pressure P1 and an outward applanation pressure P2 which are obtained in a cornea deformation cycle caused by a fluid pulse.
