<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a sulfonated polyelectrolyte film suitable for solid polymer fuel cells, wherein the method is decreased in load on global environment. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the sulfonated polyelectrolyte film comprises sulfonation of a polymer film by using a mixture of a sulfonating agent with a subcritical fluid or a supercritical fluid. The sulfonating agent is preferably chlorosulfonic acid. The subcritical fluid or supercritical fluid is preferably carbon dioxide. Further, the polymer film is preferably a graft film introduced a graft chain in a polymer substrate by graft polymerization of a vinyl monomer, wherein, preferably, the vinyl monomer is a styrenic monomer and the polymer substrate is a fluorinated polymer substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
