PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shielding performance monitoring system and shielding performance monitoring method for monitoring shielding performance by associating the entering or leaving a shielded structure with the monitoring of the shielding performance. SOLUTION: The shielding performance monitoring system 1 is provided with an entering/leaving detector 3, a performance monitoring part 4 for monitoring the shielding performance of the shielded structure 2, and a monitoring control unit 5. When a person enters the shielded structure, if a detection signal is inputted from an entering detector 31 detecting the entering person (a step S10), identification information of the entering person is inputted from the entering detector 31 (a step S11), monitoring results are inputted while allowing the performance monitoring part 4 to monitor the shielding performance (a step S13) at monitoring timing when the person enters the shielded structure after detecting the entering person with the entering detector 31 (a step S12), and the monitoring results of the shielding performance are stored into a storage 6 together with the identification information of the entering person (a step S14) in the monitoring control unit 5.
