PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anisotropic conductive film having superior conductivity reliability in a film thickness direction, at low cost, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The anisotropic conductive film is equipped with a porous membrane, made of a polymer with many hole parts penetrating in the film thickness direction, an electroless plating layer formed on the inner wall surface of the hole parts by electroless plating, an electrolytic plating part having a projection part projecting a part on an outer side than a both-opening end surface of the hole parts, filled by electrolytic plating by metal with etching rate different from metal of the electroless plating, and an adhesive layer covered on both surfaces of the porous membrane. At this time, the porous membrane suitably uses what can be formed, by having a support body casting polymer solution, containing at least an organic solvent having hydrophobicity and volatility, a polymer capable of being dissolved in the organic solvent and an amphiphile, or polymer solution, containing at least an organic solvent having a hydrophobicity and volatility and an amphiphilic polymer made to exist under an atmosphere of relative humidity of 50% or higher.
