PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide superconductive conductor having excellent superconductivity characteristics by improving the surface roughness of a metal substrate by electrolytic polishing or chemical polishing. SOLUTION: In this oxide superconductive conductor, a polycrystalline intermediate thin film is provided by an ion beam assist method on the metal substrate which comprises a Ni-Cr alloy and the surface of which is polished by electrolytic polishing or chemical polishing, and an oxide superconductive conductor thin film is provided on the polycrystalline intermediate thin film.
