PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding cassette guide mechanism, which can prevent collapse of a pile of paper sheets when a paper feeding cassette is installed to a cassette installation part of information processing equipment, can accurately position paper feeding cassette in the cassette installation part, and easily and surely install the paper feeding cassette. SOLUTION: The paper feeding cassette guide mechanism 61 comprises: a working member 64 engaged with a boss part 62 projected from a lower face of the paper feeding cassette 100 and rotated along with the movement of the boss part 62; a torque applying member 65 applying torque in a direction pulling in a cassette to the working member 64 when the boss part 62 goes over a neutral portion in the middle of a transfer pathway; and a dumper unit 66 which can reduce a rotating speed of the working member 64 by meshing of a rotating gear 71 with an engagement teeth 64c of the working member 64, only when the boss part 62 goes over the neutral position S of the transfer pathway and the working member 64 is rotary-driven in the cassette pull-in direction by rotational urging force of the torque applying member 65.
