PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining device capable of easily performing desired machining even on a part difficult to machine with a normal rotary cutting tool, and a machining tool unit. SOLUTION: The machining device is provided with a base 1, a workpiece holding/rotating means 3 provided on the base and rotating a workpiece while holding it, the machining tool unit 31, which is provided to the base, composed so as to be freely advanceable/retreatable in the workpiece direction via a slider mechanism, and provided with a machining tool, a pressing means 21 for pressing the machining tool in the workpiece direction via the machining tool unit, and a copying means provided to the machining tool unit and allowing the whole machining tool unit to advance/retreat with its advancement/retreat by copying a shape of the workpiece while being brought into contact with the workpiece. The machining tool unit is composed of a spindle and a base end side machining tool mounted to the tip part of the spindle so as to machine the base end side of the workpiece held by the workpiece holding/rotating means.
