Or, a battery-use electrode comprising a collector and a first negative active material formed on the collector and containing a positive active material, characterized in that an average particle size of the negative active material is up to 10µm, and the porosity of the first negative active material is at least 50%. Accordingly, a lithium ion secondary battery can provide a means of preventing an increase in the internal resistance of the battery at charging/discharging under a high output condition and delivering a sufficient current.
