The self-sealing spout for containers of liquid comprises an outlet tube, around whose upper lip triangular flaps (4) are mounted in a star formation. These swivel inwards to seal the spout when it is pushed downwards. These are attached to the spout by blocks (6) with a trapezium-shaped cross-section whose axial and radial thickness (B, H) is at least twice the thickness (D) of the spout (8) and more than the thickness (L) of the flaps.
