The conical shelling drill has at least two spiral swarf grooves (1SP) with cutting edges (1C) at the edge of them. The cutting edges have a relief grinding region. This region includes at least one relief grinding path (1H1, 1H2, 1H3), each of which is spiral and continually rising. The first one (1H1) is against the cutting edge.
