HEAT SINK

A heat sink that has a heat transmission container (3) having in it a flow path (2) for allowing cooling fluid (11) to flow through it and in which a heat producing body (6) in contact with the heat transmission body (3) is cooled by the cooling fluid (11) flowing through the flow path (2). The flow path (2) has first cross sectional sections and second cross sectional sections. Each first cross sectional section reduces as it moves away, in the direction orthogonal to the direction in which the cooling fluid (11) flows, from the side at which the heat transmission container (3) is in contact with the heat producing body (6). Each second cross sectional section has a cross section substantially constant in the orthogonal direction. Because the first cross sectional sections and the second cross sectional sections are alternately continuous in the direction of the flow of the cooling fluid (11), a three-dimensional flow is generated to improve heat transmission characteristics by a simpler structure.
