At the outer periphery of the sealing ring (7) there is at least one holding projection (9). This engages a recess in the interior of the casing, located near the end face. The internal thread (2) at the end of the casing, connects to a sanitary fitting or pipe. The recess is formed by the internal thread itself, the seal projection engaging it. Inside the casing an inserted cartridge or similar sanitary insert can be introduced and secured by the sealing ring. The ring presses against the end face of the insert in the approaching flow.
