<p>A plug (1 ) that mates with a socket (33) of an airbag is provided with a position assurance member (2), which can be fitted on the plug (1 ) for the purpose of breaking a shorting contact (34) so that current can not flow in the shorting contact (34). The position assurance member (2) has a movable member (6) and a static member (5). The movable member (6) is movable in relation to the static member (5) from a transport position (28) to an end position (37) such that a flow of current in the shorting contact (34) is possible in the transport position (28) while in the end position (37) the shorting contact (34) is broken. The position assurance member (2) is not able to move into the end position until the plug (1 ) is inserted into the socket (33).</p>
