METHOD FOR ADSORBING/CONCENTRATING FUNCTIONAL COMPONENT FROM FOOD WASTE USING POROUS MATERIAL, AND FUNCTIONAL FEED UTILIZING THE FUNCTIONAL COMPONENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adsorbing/concentrating functional components from food wastes using porous material comprising inexpensively and efficiently separating functional components from food wastes: and to provide functional feed utilizing the functional components.

SOLUTION: The method for adsorbing/concentrating functional components from food wastes using porous material comprises the following: a first process of adding water to plant food wastes to pulverize the wastes to prepare fluid material, and filtering the fluid material to produce filtrate; and a second process of adding granular porous material to the filtrate, stirring the mixture, and adsorbing functional components having either one or both of vitamins and saccharides falling in the filtrate. The porous material may comprise Bryozoa fossil having such a granular degree as to pass through out a standard sieve having at least 100 meshes.
